Late night doodling

Yeah, I'm a sucker for symmetry drawing. Both Zbrush and Sketchbook Pro has that feature. Makes it both fun and fast. This one took 15-20 min I think.

I love just letting my pen go and doodle characters and heads.

Came back from Brighton a couple of days ago. If you don't know there's this flash thing happening there every year. Had a great time, it was really inspiring and the beer was alright!

Only bad thing is that I got a cold. But hey, you can't win them all.

Ogre illustration

Here's the final image of the Ogre character. He is for some reason up in the mountains, maybe he's on a journey of some sort. Who knows. Anyways I've been working on him for quite some time and when I got my Wacom Cintiq I finally got working on the final version. Character modeled/painted in Zbrush, composited/background in Photoshop.

Celebrety portraits

I've started on a portrait of Leonardo DiCaprio and soon I'll follow with other celebs as well. I want to do a few portraits of celebreties that people recognize. Not the coolest actors but the persons that are well known. So, here's the first iteration of Leonardo.

Old man

Here's a new character, an old man in dirty old garments and at the moment he's wearing slippers. I think I'll put him on a stool or something. He's a hard working man who needs a drink!

Updated version of the Sean Hughes sculpt. At first I wanted to make one of his more extreme faces but I think it's more interesting if he doesn't look funny.

More Zbrush4 features

The makers of Zbrush, Pixologic, are releasing features from Zbrush4 almost on a weekly basis.
This feature looks really promising, like a 3d-photoshop inside Zbrush. With the difference that you can paint directly on your 3d-model with the textures. You can also search for pictures thru a built-in browser, wich makes the workflow really smooth.
It's looking better and better!

Zbrush to go please

Zbrush 4 is approaching fast and with that release we'll get to know Zbrush Go.

It's a fast and easy way to send your sculpt back and forth between Zbrush and your highend 3d app. Hopefully it'll keep you focused on the creative part and let the machine do the boring part.

I'm really exited about and looking forward to august when zbrush 4 is released!
